Abstract

Giovanni Battista Piranesi se vždy označoval za benátského architekta. Ovšem jeho vlastní architektonické projekty jsou spíše výjimečné. Nejúspěšnější dobou pro jeho stavební aktivity byla doba vlády benátského papeže Klementa XIII. (Rezzonico). Piranesi vytvořil pro papeže nerealizované projekty pro tribunu baziliky San Giovanni in Laterano a pro jeho synovce realizoval interiérovou výzdobu (Abbondio Rezzonico) a především přestavbu areálu vily maltézských rytířů na Aventinu s kostelem Santa Maria del Priorato (Giovanni Battista Rezzonico). Studie se zaměřuje na obsahový význam architektonického souboru na Aventinu a současně objasňuje užité formy v souvislosti s Piranesiho teoretickým myšlením.

Abstract (in English)

Giovanni Battista Piranesi refers himself always as the architect from Venice. However, his own architectural projects are rather exceptional in his oeuvre. The most successful time of his architectural activity was during the reign of "Venetian" pope Clement XIII (Rezzonico). Piranesi created the unrealised projects for the tribune of basilica San Giovanni in Laterano for the pope and for his nephew's both implementation of the internal decoration of the dwelling (Abbondio Rezzonico) and especially the reconstruction of the villa of the Knights of Malta with the church Santa Maria del Priorato on the Aventino hill (Giovanni Battista Rezzonico). The study focuses on the semantic significance of the whole of the architectural items on the Aventino and clarifies the used forms from the point of view of Piranesi's theoretical thinking at the same time.
