Abstract

Existují koncepty, jež dlouhá léta zaměstnávaly filosofy, kteří stanovovali podmínky, za nichž můžeme daný koncept agentovi připsat - jakési správné návody k použití. Laici se však nad nimi nemusí vůbec pozastavovat - vždyť jde o koncepty, které používají při každodenních sociálních interakcích (záměrné jednání, znalost, štěstí). Otázkou pak je, jak je používají? Drží se návodů k použití? Co když existuje faktor, se kterým filosofové nepočítali a který zásadním způsobem připisování konceptů ovlivňuje? V přednášce, která bude ležet na pomezí kognitivní vědy a filosofie, se pokusím objasnit, co tímto záhadným faktorem je, a předložit důvody, proč by nás to jako filosofy mělo zajímat.

Abstract (in English)

There are concepts that kept busy philosophers for a long time, philosophers who determined conditions necessary for ascribing certain concept to agent - kind of proper instructions. Laymen don't need to care about them - after all, these are concepts that are used in everyday social interactions (intentional action, knowledge, happiness). The question is how they use them? Do they adhere to these instructions? What if there is another factor which philosophers didn't foreseen and which substantially affects usage of these concepts? In the presentation which lies between cognitive science and philosophy, I will try to explain what this mysterious factor is and submit reasons why we - philosophers - should be interested in it.
