NEWRON application is a therapeutic sofware tool which focuses on supporting the development of persons suffering from various psycho-social disorders. The application consists of a set of games which can continually influence the social perception and social interactions of the target persons, it helps to activate their psychomotor or decision functions and can optimize the usage of modern information technologies to promote their personal development. In the first phase, the target group consists of children and teenagers with autistic spectrum disorders. The application is the result of a close cooperation between the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Arts and the Human-Computer Interaction Laboratory at the Faculty of Informatics, both from the Masaryk University.

Aplikace NEWRON je terapeutický software, který je zaměřen na podporu a rozvoj lidí s různými psycho-sociálními obtížemi. Aplikace je složena ze sady her, jejichž prostřednictvím lze průběžně působit na sociální vnímání a sociální interakce jedinců cílové skupiny, aktivovat jejich psychomotorické či rozhodovací funkce a rovněž optimalizovat využívání moderních informačních technologií ve prospěch osobního rozvoje. V první fázi se projekt zaměřuje cíleně na děti a dospívající s diagnostikovanou poruchou autistického spektra (PAS) a je vyvíjen v úzké spolupráci mezi Psychologickým ústavem FF MU a Laboratoří HCI FI MU.
