Abstract

Diplomová práce Konstruování identity ženy v kontextu konverze k islámu popisuje sociální realitu konvertitek k islámu. Práce vychází ze sociálně konstruktivistických a poststrukturalistických přístupů. V teoretické části se proto věnujeme jejich specifikaci vzhledem k realizovanému výzkumnému šetření. To bylo koncipováno za pomoci nástrojů diskurzivní analýzy. Analyticko-interpretační část mapuje konstrukce výpovědí aktérů na sociální síti Facebook s cílem identifikovat diskurzy a jejich praktiky vedoucí ke konstrukci identity konvertitky. V další fázi výzkumného šetření analyzujeme výpovědi konvertitek se zřetelem na konstrukci jejich identity. Závěrečná fáze uvádí důsledky těchto konstrukcí v sociální praxi.

Abstract (in English)

The diploma thesis “Constructing identity of women in the context of conversion to Islam” describes social reality of female converts to Islam. The work is based on socio-constructivist and poststructuralist approaches. The theoretical part is devoted to their specification with respect to the realized research investigation. It was drafted by using tools of discourse analysis. Analytical-interpretive part maps the constructions of the participants' statements on the social network site Facebook in order to identify discourses and their practices leading to the construction of identity of female converts. In the next phase of the exploratory research we analyze statements of female converts with respect to the construction of their identity. Final phase shows implications of these structures in social practice.
