Studijní podpora je úvodem do historické topografie českých zemí. Práce je rozdělena do několika částí: uvádí prameny historické topografie a charakterizuje její současné výstupy, nastiňuje problematiku ztotožňování názvů míst v pramenech s existujícími lokalitami, zabývá se mapovým zobrazením českých zemí, územním vývojem a hranicemi, pojednává také o principech rekonstrukce osídlení a komunikační sítě.

The publication is purposed as an academic support to the introduction to the historical topography of Czech lands. Work is divided into several parts: describes sources of historical topography and its contemporary outputs, deals with principles of the identification of place-names in sources with current locations, also deals with old maps, territorial development and borders, describes methods of reconstruction of settlement and communication network.
