Anotace

Einer der großen Kenner der Kunst der frühen Neuzeit in der Gegenwart ist der in der Nähe der italienischen Stadt Orvieto lebende Eduard A. Šafařík. Ab Ende der sechziger Jahre des 20. Jahrhunderts lebte er in Italien und wurde im Umfeld der römischen aristokratischen Sammlungen zu einem führenden Kenner und zu einem ebensolchen Experten in der venezianischen Malerei des 17. Jahrhunderts. Von den Künstlern widmete er sich besonders dem Maler der neovenezianischen Schule des angehenden 17. Jahrhunderts Domenico Fetti (1990, 1996) und dem tschechischen Barock-Porträtmaler der ersten Hälfte des 18. Jahrhunderts Johann Kupezky (2001) eingehend. Eduard A. Safarik fordert uns in seinen kennerschaftlichen Texten dazu auf, es zumindest zu versuchen, ihm über die Schulter zu blicken. Vielleicht hält jemand von den Besuchern, nachdem er vorliegendes Buch durchgesehen hat, in einer der künftigen Ausstellungen in der Galerie bei einem Kunstwerk inne. Er stellt sich vor eines der Gemälde, das für diese Ausstellung ausgewählt wurde, und wird es schweigend beobachten. Er kommt dazu an gleiche Reise, die hervorragender Kenner schon durchgegangen ist.

Anotace česky

Jedním z velkých znalců raně novověkého umění v současnosti je poblíž italského Orvietta žijící Eduard A. Šafařík. Od konce 60. let 20. století žil v Itálii a stal se předním znalcem v prostředí římských aristokratických sbírek a stejně tak známým specialistou na benátské malířství 17. století. Z umělců se podrobně věnoval zejména malíři novobenátské školy počínajícího 17. století Domenicu Fettimu (1990, 1996) a českému baroknímu portrétistovi první poloviny 18. století, Janu Kupeckému (2001). Eduard A. Šafařík nás přitom ve svých znaleckých textech vybízí, abychom se mu alespoň pokusili podívat se přes rameno. Možná, že po prohlédnutí vydávané knihy se někdo z návštěvníků některé z dalších a budoucích výstav v galerii zastaví u uměleckého díla. Postaví se před jedním z obrazů, který je na onu výstavu vybrán a bude jej mlčky pozorovat. Dá se tak na obdobnou cestu, kterou ušel již dříve vynikající znalec.

One of the great connoisseur of the art of the early modern period in the present is in the town of Orvieto living Eduard A. Safarik. From the end of the sixties of the 20th century, he lived in Italy and was in the vicinity of the Roman aristocratic collections to a leading authority and to just such experts in the Venetian painting of the 17th century. Among the artists he devoted himself especially to the painter of the neo-Venetian school of budding 17th century Domenico Fetti (1990, 1996) and the Czech Baroque portrait painters of the first half of the 18th century, Johann Kupezky (2001) in detail. Eduard A. Safarik invites us into his connoisseur texts to up to at least try to look over his shoulder. Maybe someone of the visitors, after he has seen Safariks book, will held in a forthcoming exhibitions at the gallery in a work of art. He will imagine one of the paintings, which was selected for this exhibition, and he will observe it in silence. He comes to this same trip, the leading expert has already gone through.
