Kvantitativní i kvalitativní nedostatky dochované pramenné základny sice limitují možnosti komparace charakteru a vývoje majetkového zázemí hradů, přesto umožňují získat představu o velikosti panství u 20 lokalit z daného souboru, a to alespoň k jednomu datu před počátkem husitských válek. Výzkum potvrzuje jak dosavadní představy o větší velikosti panství v kolonizačních oblastech oproti staré sídelní oblasti, tak předpoklad, že ve 14. století dokázala zajistit provoz hradu poměrně malá panství o 1–2 vesnicích.
