Abstract

Prezentace na konferenci. Práce referuje o programu Mathseeds, jehož hlavním posláním je zábavnou motivační formou učit anglicky mluvící děti ve věku 3-6 roků základy počtů. Autorka referuje o zkušenostech s přibližně čtyřtýdenním využitím tohoto programu třemi dětmi ve věku 4-6 roků, se zásadně odlišnou znalostí angličtiny a se zásadně odlišným životním stylem rodičů. Kromě jednoznačných předností nalézá autorka i zápory využití tohoto programu.

Abstract (in English)

A conference presentation. This article reports on the program Mathseeds. Its main mission to teach English speaking children aged 3-6 years bases of mathematics. Mathseeds combines highly structured lessons with fun motivational elements that keep children engaged and keen to learn. The author reports about experience with use of this program by 3 children aged 4-6 years. Their knowledge of English language is ery different and also the life-style of their parents is very different. Apart from unique advantages, the author finds also drawbacks of use of this program.
