Abstract
The presentation will show how psychotherapy training and a parallel research of this training can enrich each other. Ongoing synergy of training and research will be demonstrated in the case of a concrete research project run by the Centre for Psychotherapy Research at Masaryk University in Czech Republic. In this project principles of action research are applied. The participants (trainers and trainees) take part in the reserch project and the results of the research influence back the practice of the training. The research design can serve as an example of bridging practice and research also in other areas of psychotherapy work.
