On January 1, 2014 New Civil Code came into force in the Czech Republic. It was without doubt the biggest change of the Czech private law in the last 50 years. Altough insurance contract wasn't in the middle of attention, it would be far from the true to claim that the New Cvivil Code didn't bring anything new in this field. The goal of this article is to poin out some of the most important changes of insurance contract a other relevant provision; finally, it deals with a possible influence of the changes on everyday insurance practice.
