Abstract

The study deals with regional aspects of cultural struggle. This struggle is seen as an manifestation of the cultural modernization between the Catholic Church and the progressive parties on an anti-Catholic platform in the Bohemian Lands during the 19th and 20th century. It is focused on the relationship between centre and periphery and it uses the method of probe.

Studie se zabývá problematikou kulturního boje v českých zemích 19. a 20. století, sleduje střety katolické církve a katolických politických sil se silami tzv. pokrokového tábora na základě odlišností mezi centrem a periferií.
