Abstract
This paper describes the possibilities of using data acquired by police forces, especially their processing, spatial analysis and cartographic visualization. These steps are demonstrated on data taken by municipal police in Pardubice city are compared with current trends in the field of crime prevention and approaches to governmental data management.
