Anotace

Welfare state social systems had gone through large changes. Nowadays we can witness that social system becomes more and more expensive. Provided that state budget should be balanced, it has to follow cuts on the expenditure side as well. On the other side state wants to help risk group of people including family with children. This paper focuses on selected benefits for family with children: specifically child benefit and child tax allowance. The key questions are: Do we really need both of these benefits? And if not, how should state set system to fulfil its goals. Which deciles profits from these benefits?
