Abstract

Autoři předkládají přehledný popis problematiky osteonekrózy čelistí u pacientů s antiresorpční terapií (ARONJ) užívajících léky modifikující kostní metabolismus (BMA). Dále představují strukturu a vzhled registru těchto pacientů s již vzniklou osteonekrózou čelistí a přístup do něj. Zdůrazňují bezpečnost vložených dat i následného pozdějšího statistického hodnocení. Závěrem zdůrazňují význam prevence a spolupráce mezi praktickými zubními lékaři, stomatochirurgy, klinickými maxilofaciálními chirurgy a v neposlední řadě mezi všeobecnými lékaři, kteří léčbu těmito léky ordinují a řídí.

Abstract (in English)

The authors present a concise and clear description of the issue of osteonecrosis of the jaw seen in patients undergoing antiresorptive therapy (ARONJ) using medicaments that modify the metabolism of the bones (BMA). Furthermore, they present the structure and appearance of the registry of these patients whom have suffered osteonecrosis of the jaw, and the access to the registry itself. They emphasize the security of the entered data and the later statistical evaluation that follows. In conclusion, additional emphasis is relayed upon prevention and cooperation between practical dentists, dental surgeons, and clinical departments, and last but not least among doctors who prescribe and control these medications and treatments.
