Abstract
In the present contribution the possible Nuristani origin of the Tocharian dendronym ya:staci 'juniper / Juniperus excelsa' via Khotanese mediation is proposed and discussed. Another Nuristani loanword in Tocharian B could be identified in the word kaumiye 'lake, pond'.
