Abstract

Vyrůstání v cizí zemi může být pro děti imigrantů velmi obtížný a matoucí proces. Především proto, že je dítě pravidelně vystavováno tlaku začlenit se do majoritní společnosti (tlak školy, majority) a tlaku udržet si svou původní kulturu (tlak rodiny), (Min Zhou, 1994). Děti, které samy imigrovaly do jiné země, čelí také řadě strádání způsobenému ztrátou vazby k těm, které milují, ztrátou sociálního statutu, na který byly zvyklí a ztrátou své vlasti. V nové zemi musejí čelit problémům spojenými se všemi těmito ztrátami (Eisenbruch, 1999). Příspěvek představí téma mé disertační práce, která zkoumá, jakou roli hraje škola (učitelé, spolužáci), rodina a dítě samotné při adaptačním procesu cizinců na školní prostředí v České republice a Norsku. Většinou je v literatuře a výzkumech nahlíženo na adaptační proces odděleně z hlediska dětí, učitelů či rodičů. V disertační práci proto považuji školní adaptaci stejně jako Brizuela a Garcia (1999) za komplexní a triangulační proces, který zahrnuje proměnné týkající se dítěte, rodiny a školy a který je zakotven ve větším sociálním, kulturním a politickém kontextu.

Abstract (in English)

Growing up in a foreign country can be for children of immigrants difficult and confusing process. Primarily because the child is regularly exposed to pressure to integrate into mainstream society (the pressure of school, the majority) and the pressure to maintain their original culture (family pressure) (Min Zhou, 1994). Children who themselves immigrated to other countries, also faced a number of hardships caused by the loss of custody of those they love, loss of social status to which they are accustomed, and the loss of their homeland. In a new country, they face problems associated with all of these losses (Eisenbruch, 1999). Contribution introduces the topic of my dissertation, which examines the role of the school (teachers, classmates), the family and the child alone in the adaptation process of foreigners in the school environment in the Czech Republic and Norway. Mostly in literature and research on adaptation process viewed separately from the point of view of children, teachers and parents. The dissertation therefore consider adapting the school as well as Brizuela and Garcia (1999) for a comprehensive and triangulation process, which includes variables related to the child, family and school, and that is embedded in a larger social, cultural and political context.
