Abstract

Latinský Herbarius významného učence přelomu 14. a 15. století Křišťana z Prachatic († 1439) je prozatím znám v 18 rukopisech, napsaných v době od konce 14. do 60. let 15. století. Obsahuje asi 350 krátkých hesel, které shrnují léčivé účinky rostlin a také několika léčiv z říše živočišné a nerostné. Původní Herbář se postupně proměňoval a u jednotlivých opisů tak můžeme sledovat, jaké byly zájmy, preference a potřeby jednotlivých uživatelů herbáře. Příspěvek se zaměřuje na tři rukopisy (Národní knihovna ČR, Praha, I F 35 a XI C 2 a rukopis z Archivu Pražského hradu, Praha, Knihovna Metropolitní kapituly u sv. Víta, M XI), obsahujících kromě prozaických hesel přes 70 mnemotechnických veršů, které byly jednorázově vloženy do dnes již nedochované společné předlohy těchto rukopisů. Autorka určuje prameny těchto veršů (tzv. Regimen salernské školy a sbírka Macer Floridus), popisuje způsob jejich začlenění do textu a na základě jejich kolace se pokouší určit vztahy mezi uvedenými rukopisy. Tyto jednorázově vložené verše inspirovaly pozdější opisovače ke vkládání dalších veršů, které jsou obsaženy vždy pouze v jednom z dochovaných rukopisů.

Abstract (in English)

Latin Herbarius written by Christian of Prachatice († 1439), the important scholar of the turn of the 14th and the 15th centuries, is today preserved in 18 manuscripts written from the end of the 14th century to the 60s of the 15th century. It contains about 350 short entries, which summarise healing powers of plants and also of some medicines from the animal and mineral kingdoms. The original Herbal gradually changed and thus, based on the particular transcriptions, we can examine what interests, preferences and needs the individual users of the herbal had. The paper focuses on the three manuscripts (the National Library of the Czech Republic, Prague, I F 35 and XI C 2 and the manuscript from the Archive of the Prague Castle, Prague, the Library of the Metropolitan Chapter of St. Vitus, M XI) containing, besides prose entries, over 70 mnemonic verses which were all at once inserted into a not preserved model common to all these manuscripts. The author determines the sources of these verses (so called Regimen sanitatis Salernitanum and the collection Macer Floridus), describes the way of their incorporation into the text and tries to determine the relations among the aforesaid manuscripts on the ground of their collation. The inserted verses inspired later scribes to add further extra verses, while these were usually present only in one of the extant manuscripts.
