Abstract
The presentation explores the instances of figurative language and imagery in printed destination advertisements. Using the methodology of conceptual discourse analysis, the presentation explains how selected language phenomena contribute to the act of persuasion.

Tato prezentace se zabývá figurativním jazykem a jazykovou obrazností v tištěné reklamě turistických destinací. Na základě konceptuální analýzy diskurzu vysvětluje, jak vybrané jazykové jevy přispívají k aktu přesvědčení.
