Abstract

Závěrečný svazek Dějin Brna představuje uměleckohistorické památky historického městského jádra a jeho nejbližšího okolí formou topografického vyprávění. Záměrem celého svazku jsou tři aspekty městské topologie: a) Akcent je kladen na dnes existující strukturou uměleckohistorických památek ve městě; ty jsou interpretovány ve své měnící se funkci, záměru objednavatele, ale stejně tak ve své nynější umělecké formě i obsahovém významu; b) je upozorňováno na „enigma locí“, která se před návštěvníkem objeví při pohledu na nějaký pozoruhodný stavební, historický či uměleckohistorický detail na památce; c) důležitost existenciálního „místa“ v prostorovém organismu a urbanistické struktuře města klade větší důraz, než tomu bývá v dřívějších soupisech a průvodcích, především na obsahový (ikonografický a ikonologický) výklad uměleckých děl.

Abstract (in English)

The final volume of the History of Brno is offered to art-historical monuments of the city centre and its surroundings in the form of topographic narratives. The intent of the entire bundle are three aspects of urban topologies: a) The emphasis is placed on today's existing structure of art-historical monuments in the city; they are interpreted in their changing function of patron’s intent, but equally in its current artistic form and content relevance; b) It is drawn the attention to the "enigma loci" that appears before the visitor by the looking on a specific remarkable building, historical or art historical detail; c) The existential importance of "place" in the space of the organism and town planning structure puts more emphasis than it is in earlier inventories and guides, particularly on content (iconographic and iconological) interpretation of artworks.
