Abstract

Der 28. Juni figuriert im vorliegenden Roman als Überschrift zweier Kapitel, die zum einen das Attentat auf den Thronfolger und seine Gattin selbst, zum anderen die Renunziation (Thronfolgeverzichterklärung) Franz Ferdinands von 1900 zum Thema haben. Mit dem Datum wird ferner an die Niederlage der Serben auf dem Amselfeld (Kosovo) und in margine an den Sokolkongreß in Brno/ Brünn (27.-28.6.1914) erinnert, zu dem Massen von Südslawen aus Serbien und Bosnien nach Mähren pilgern, welche von der Gattin des Thronfolgers bei ihrer Reise nach Sarajevo voller dunkler Vorahnung gemustert werden. In diesem narrativen Zusammenspiel ereignisschwerer Daten dürfte der Sokolkongreß (dargestellt etwa in Bruno Brehms Apis und Este) und sein geschichtlicher Hintergrund wohl am wenigsten bekannt sein.

Abstract (in Czech)

28. červen figuruje ve Winderově románu jako nadpis dvou kapitol, jejichž tématem je jednak atentát na následníka trůnu Františka Ferdinanda a jeho choť (1914), jednak renunciace (prohlášení o zřeknutí se trůnu) Františka Ferdinanda pro jeho choť a potomstvo (1900). Tímto datem se zároveň historicky upomíná na porážku Srbů na Kosově poli (1389) na den sv. Víta (Vidovdan) a marginálně na všesokolský slet v Brně (tehdy ještě v samostatné obci Královo Pole, ve dnech /27.– /28.–29. června 1914). K sletu na Moravu směřují masy jižních Slovanů ze Srbska a Bosny a jejich cestu sleduje Žofie Chotková při své cestě opačným směrem: do Sarajeva. V této narativní souhře osudových dat (zachycených mj. v románu B. Brehma Apis a Este a v Rothově Pochodu Radeckého) jsou sokolské aktivity a brněnský sokolský slet, atentátem předčasně ukončený, asi nejméně známy a nejsou kupodivu nejspíš ani příliš reflektovány v české beletrii. Moravská melancholie, kterou atestoval Otto Pick německy píšícím autorům z Moravy (1927), a psychologický ponor korelující se zájmem o různé směry psychologie (psychiatrie) na Moravě a v širším kulturním kontextu (Freud, Angela Rohr, R. Musil a tvarová psychologie, Leo Eitinger Schicksalsanalyse Leopolda Szondiho a psychologie C.G. Junga) možná překračují hranice jazyka a národní kultury (na příkladu textů Rudolfa Těsnohlídka) a liší se v beletristickém podání od od daleko známějšího českého burleskního traktování atentátu na následníka trůnu v Sarajevu v Haškově Švejkovi.

Abstract (in English)

In Ludwig Winder's novel Der Thronfolger, 28 June appears in the novel as the title of two chapters the theme of which is firstly the assassination of the heir to the throne Franz Ferdinand and his wife in 1914 and secondly the renunciation of the throne by Franz Ferdinand for his wife and progeny in 1900. The same date also brings forth the defeat of the Serbs at the Battle of Kosovo on St.Vitus Day (Vidovdan) in 1389. Marginally it is also reminiscent of the Sokol rally in Brno on 27-29 June 1914, for which the masses of southern Slavs travelled from Serbia and Bosnia to Moravia and which in Winder's novel Sophie Chotek, wife of Franz Ferdinand, encounters on their way to Sarajevo. Not only in this narrative interplay of the fateful date, but also in Bruno Brehm's novel Apis and Este and in Joseph Roth's Radetzky March, those Sokol activities are probably the least known and only marginally reflected in Czech fiction on, too. Moravian melancholy, ascribed by Otto Pick to German writers from Moravia in 1927, perhaps goes beyond language and national culture (for example with Rudolf Těsnohlídek) and differs from the much better-known Czech burlesque rendering of the assassination in Sarajevo in Hašek's Schweik.
