Abstract

A lecture on the semantic and grammatical properties of verbs of referring to sources (VRS) studied on two corpora of English papers by native and non-native authors in humanities and social sciences. Factors that determine the choices of VRS have been tentatively identified to utilise the outcomes in teaching English for Academic Purposes (EAP).

Přednáška o sémantických a gramatických vlastnostech sloves odkazujících ke zdrojům (VRS), které byly studovány na dvou korpusech anglických článků z odborných časopisů publikovaných rodilými i nerodilými mluvčími angličtiny, a to v několika oborech humanitních a společenských věd. Z výzkumu byly vyvozeny předběžné závěry o faktorech podmiňující volbu VRS, které mohou sloužit při výuce odborné angličtiny (EAP).
