The analysis presented here follows of intermunicipal cooperation and constitutes a systematic test of impact of intermunicipal cooperation in the Czech Republic. Our empirical analysis used linked open data and data from survey of Czech municipalities to examine the dynamics of intermunicipal cooperation i nthe market of solid waste, which is one of the most relevant local services. The main objective of this contribution is to examine whether intermunicipal cooperation has an impact on waste management cost efficiency and can reduce costs on sample of 670 municipalities in the Czech Republic, specifically the South Moravian Region. Results of analysis show dependence between intermunicipal cooperation and costs and confirm the assumption that the municipalities can reduce cost through cooperation.

Předkládaná analýza řešící problematiku meziobecní spolupráce představuje systematický test dopadu meziobecní spolupráce v České republice. Naše empirická analýza za využití linked open dat a dat z dotazníkového šetření na českých obcích zkoumá dynamiku meziobecní spolupráce na trhu odpadového hospodářství, které je jednou z nejvýznamnějších místních služeb. Hlavním cílem tohoto příspěvku je prozkoumat, zda má meziobecní spolupráce dopad na nákladovou efektivitu služeb nakládání s odpady a zda může snížit náklady obcí a to na vzorku 670 obcí v České republice, konkrétně v Jihomoravském kraji. Výsledky analýzy ukazují závislost mezi meziobecní spoluprací a náklady a potvrzují předpoklad, že obce mohou snížovat náklady prostřednictvím spolupráce.
