Abstract
No need to cry over the sliced onion In my course on cross-cultural communication, the students practice their reading skills, they develop their speaking through lots of culture-related discussions, they present their ideas and argumentation, they learn how to write a case study, they are introduced many theoretical concepts as well as experience an authentic videoconference interaction with students from Helsinki University and much more. This workshop will offer you a condensed version of all of these and a hands-on experience of how English can be taught and developed on the background of culture, or how cross-cultural awareness activities can enrich the language classes.
