N2 - People with learning disabilities are more than ten times likely to have serious sight problems than general population. An intervention like intraocular surgery (cataract) can make enormous difference to the life of person with learning disability. Clinics are often unprepared for such patients, resulting in suboptimal assessment and outcome. If told in advance of the referral, the clinic staff can make adjustments. This adjustments help people to enjoy the enhance quality of life.
