Abstract

Das Buch anbietet eine konsistente Auffassung der Bau- und Kunstaktivitäten des Benediktinerklosters Rajhrad im 18. Jahrhundert. Die Aufmerksamkeit wurde nicht nur der Entstehung, der Rolle und der Perzeption der Gebäude und Kunstwerke, sondern auch die Motivationen, welche die Pröpste zu den Aktivitäten führten, gewidmet.

Kniha nabízí ucelený pohled na stavební a umělecké realizace benediktinského kláštera v Rajhradě v 18. století. Pozornost je věnována vzniku, úloze a percepci staveb a uměleckých děl. Nastíněny jsou rovněž motivace, jež rajhradské probošty k jejich aktivitám vedly.

Abstract (in English)

The book offers a comprehensive look at the building and art activities of the Benedictine monastery in Rajhrad during the 18th century. Attention is paid to the question of the function and perception of the buildings and artworks as well as to the motivations of the provosts of Rajhrad monastery.
