Abstract

Předložený příspěvek se zabývá možností využití teorie her v konceptu destination governance, který klade důraz na práva a zájmy různých stakeholderů působících v turistické destinaci. Zmíněný koncept zkoumá také povahu a zdroje vzájemných interakcí, které se odehrávají mezi těmito aktéry. Za jeden z možných přístupů ke strukturám destination governance lze považovat řízení turistické destinace formou sítí. Větší množství různorodých aktérů, kteří se v této síti nacházejí, a nedostatek jejich rozhodovacích pravomocí může vést ke střetu zájmů a potížím při řešení následně vzniklých problémů. Taková situace může dospět až ke stagnaci rozvoje destinace a ke ztrátě její konkurenceschopnosti. Cílem článku je poskytnout teoretický základ pro využití teorie her v konceptu destination governance. Článek nejprve formou literární rešerše rozebírá problematiku spolupráce v rámci sítí. Dále nastiňuje souvislosti a možnosti využití teorie her v oblasti cestovního ruchu, resp. řízení destinace. K těmto aplikacím lze dojít využitím metod analýzy, syntézy a kompilace odborných publikací. Výsledky potvrzují, že teorii her lze využít jako nástroj k analýze strategických interakcí, který přispívá k lepšímu pochopení mechanismů spolupráce a efektivnosti různých struktur partnerství v destinaci cestovního ruchu.

Abstract (in English)

The submitted paper deals with the use of game theory in the destination governance concept. This concept puts emphasis on the rights and interests of the various stakeholders involved in the tourist destination. It also explores the characters and sources of the interactions occurred between these actors. Tourist destination management in the form of networks can be considered one of the possible approaches to destination governance structures. A larger number of different actors involved in this network and their lack of decision-making power can lead to conflicts of interests and cause the difficulties in subsequent problem solving. This situation may lead to the stagnation of destination development and to a loss of its competitiveness. The aim of this paper is to provide a framework for the use of game theory in the destination governance concept. The paper uses theoretical review to discuss the issue of cooperation within networks. It further outlines the background and the possibility of using game theory in tourism, respectively in destination management. These applications may be determined by using methods of analysis, synthesis and compilation of scientific papers. The findings confirm that game theory can be used as a tool for the analysis of strategic interactions, contributing to a better understanding of the mechanisms of cooperation and effectiveness of different structures in the tourism destination.
