Anotace

Comme il s’ensuit de la délimitation de la pratique intertextuelle, si ce n’est de l’absence de cette délimitation, toute reprise du mythe littéraire n’implique pas seulement un travail sur le schéma abstrait du mythe, mais aussi la citation, l’imitation et transformation des textes littéraires qui ont déja raconté ce mythe. Jean Echenoz inscrit a sa maniere ses romans dans cette catégorie générale et procede par une relecture ludique de l’écriture hypertextuelle, celle qu’il faut appeler justement par le nom de palimpseste, car un texte premier a été gommé pour etre par la suite reconstitué au milieu d’un autre texte. Le Méridien de Greenwich, premier roman de la plume échenozienne, donne, des son ouverture, libre cours a une « mythocritique », c'est-a-dire a une réinterprétation de la mythologie. Or cette relecture de la robinsonnade est fortement marquée par des torsions qui impliquent automatiquement un second degré, voire un troisieme degré, si l’on considere les réécritures des récits d’aventures insulaires effectuées au cours du XXe siecle comme des représentants du second. Dans la présente communication, je propose de regarder de plus pres le processus d’érosion qui affecte la réécriture mythologique chez l’un des représentants de la littérature dite d’extreme contemporain et de réfléchir sur les raisons d’une telle attitude de la réécriture.

As a result of the demarcation of the intertextual practice, except for the absence of this delimitation, any resumption of literary myth involves not only work on the abstract pattern of the myth, but the quote, imitation and transformation of literary texts that have already told this myth. Jean Echenoz registered in his own way his novels in this general category and proceed by a playful reading of hypertext writing, that it takes just call it by the name of palimpsest, because a first text was erased to be subsequently reconstituted in the middle of another text. The Greenwich Meridian, the first novel échenozienne pen gives, when it opened, vent to a "myth criticism," that is to say to a reinterpretation of mythology. But this re-reading of Robinson Crusoe is strongly marked by twists that automatically imply a second degree or third degree, if we consider the rewriting of island adventure stories made during the twentieth century as representatives of the second. In this submission, I propose to look more closely at the process of erosion that affects the mythological rewriting in one of the representatives of the so-called extreme contemporary literature and reflect on the reasons for such an attitude of rewriting
