Abstract

Autor přítomného kritického přehledu komentuje dva sborníky, které vyšly k 200. výročí narození Michaila Jurjeviče Lermontova. První vyšel v Sankt-Petěrburgu a je pojat jako reprezentativní, komplexní publikace s účastí rusistů z Ruska i mimo Rusko. Sborník je hodnocen jako určité zklamání, neboť neobsahuje mnoho nových postupů ani témat; některé studie s obměnami opakují již dosažené výsledky. Druhý svazek, který vyšel v slovinském Mariboru pokrývá spíše marginální okruhy, ale je koncizní a z periferních pozic vrhá nové světlo i na řadu centrálních jevů. Oba sborníky představují implicitní výzvu k nové aktualizaci Lermontovova odkazu.

Abstract (in English)

The author of the present critical outline comments upon two volumes published on the occasion of the 200 anniversary of the birth of Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov. The former appeared in Saint Petersburg and was conceived as a representative, complex publication with the participation of the specialists in Russian studies both from Russia and outside Russia. As a whole, it is evaluated as a certain disappointment as it does not contain many new approaches and subjects; some studies repeat only with smaller modifications the results which have been already achieved. The latter published in Maribor (Slovenia) covers rather marginal themes, but is concise , and throws from peripheral positions a new light on several central phenomena as well. Both volumes represent an implicit appeal to new actualisatins of Lermontov’s heritage.
