Abstract

Tato odborná příručka je užitečná pro všechny, kdo podstupují psychoterapeutický výcvik, psychoterapií se živí, uvažují o této profesi nebo v ní začínají, i pro zájemce o psychoterapii. Kniha slouží jako průvodce, který usnadní vstup do této pomáhající profese i orientaci v ní. Dobrý psychoterapeut má umět odložit stranou své předpojatosti, když se setká s novým klientem. Má mít vyzkoušeny terapeutické postupy, ale také být schopen přijmout jedinečnost každého terapeutického vztahu. Úkolem psychoterapeuta je dobře spolupracovat s klienty, umět vést rozhovor, uvědomovat si vlastní protipřenosy, které vůči nim má, trpělivě naslouchat, dodržovat etiku a nebát se improvizovat. Kniha je mimo jiné opřena o výpovědi řady zkušených psychoterapeutů, kteří si postupně vytvořili vlastní styl terapie. Přestože se jedná o text, jenž vychází z výsledků řady výzkumů, důraz je kladen na srozumitelnost a čtivost textu.

Abstract (in English)

How to become a master therapist represents a useful guide for access to and understanding of psychotherapy. Master therapist has to put out his/her biases, has to use various therapeutic procedures and to accept the uniqueness of every client. The master therapists take care particularly about therapeutic relationship, and create the safety and encouraging environment for treatment. He/she is aiming on good collaboration with clients, not to become guru, or expert. Many techniques are highly appreciated, e.g. the art of conversation, awareness of the own counter-transferences, or the high level of patiency and ethics. The own style of therapy is the goal of therapeutic path. The book is based on results of many research studies in the field.
