Abstract

The purpose of this paper is twofold. First, it aims to introduce the concept of toritate in the Japanese linguistics with focus on the transition from “adverbial particles” (fukujoshi) within the framework of the National Language Studies (kokugogaku) to “toritate expressions” (toritate hyogen) within the framework of the Japanese Language Studies (nihongogaku). Second, it will introduce and report on an ongoing research project of the toritate phenomena from a crosslinguistic perspective. The project is organized by the Japanese National Institute for Japanese Language and Linguistics (NINJAL) and covers studies on various languages of the world.

Tento příspěvek má dvojí cíl. Nejprve představuje koncept "toritate" v japonské lingvistice se zaměřením na přechod od "příslovečných partikulí" (fukudžoši) v rámci tzv. studií o národním jazyce (kokugogaku) k "vytýkacím výrazům" (toritate hjógen) v rámci tzv. japonské lingvistiky (nihongogaku). Dále představuje probíhající výzkumný projekt o vytýkacích jevech z kontrastivně-lingvistické perspektivy. Projekt je organizován japonským Národním ústavem pro japonský jazyk a lingvistiku (NINJAL) a zahrnuje výzkum různých jazyků světa.
