Výstava přináší pohled do dějin klasických studií na FF MU s důrazem na významné osobnosti, které zde na tomto poli působily. Určena je však nejen studentům Ústavu klasických studií, kteří mají možnost dozvědět se jejím prostřednictvím něco o dějinách vlastního oboru, ale široké fakultní veřejnosti. Dějiny brněnské klasické filologie jsou totiž zasazeny do širšího kontextu osudů celé fakulty a politického dění vůbec. Průvodní text na výstavních panelech doplňují historické fotografie a další archivní materiály jak v reprodukované podobě, tak také fyzicky přítomné ve výstavních vitrínách. K dispozici je brožura v češtině i v angličtině.
In English
The exhibition offers an insight into the history of Classical studies at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, Brno, whereas important persons connected with this field of study are emphasized. It is destined not only for students of the Department of Classical studies to make them familiar with the history of the field the chose to study, but to the whole faculty community, since the history of Classical studies in Brno is presented in a wider historical context. The text of the exhibition is accompanied by old photos and other archival materials. A brochure in English is available.
