Abstract

Dans la littérature québécoise contemporaine, deux groupes se distinguent par leur apport novateur : les Italo-Québécois et les intellectuels d’origine haitienne. Parmi les écrivains haitiens qui ont traité la thématique de l’intégration et de l’exil, il importe de relever Émile Ollivier et Dany Laferriere qui appartiennent a deux générations et deux vagues d’immigration différentes. Dans leurs ouvrages ou l’exil est lié soit a la problématique identitaire, soit a celle du retour au pays natal il importe de relever la problématique de la dépossession, de la perception spatio-temporelle de soi ainsi que la question du retour au pays natal envisagé soit a travers les personnages (Ollivier), soit a travers la narration autobiographique (Laferriere).

Abstract (in Czech)

V současné quebecké literatuře lze rozlišit podstatný inovativní přínos dvou významných etnických skupin : Italo-Quebečanů a Haiťanů. Z haitských autorů, kteří traktují identitární téma integrace a exilu je třeba vyzvednout Émila Olliviera a Danyho Laferriera. Každý z nich patří k jiné generaci a jiné migrační vlně. V jejich románech je téma exilu spojeno s otázkami identity a návratem domů. Souvisí také s pocity vykořenění, s odlišným vnímáním času a prostoru i sebe sama. Problematika návratu do rodné země je traktována jednak prostřednictvím postav (Ollivier), jednak prostřednictvím autobiograficky stylizovaného vyprávění (Laferriere).

Abstract (in English)

In the contemporary Quebec literature, two distinguished groups can be perceived thanks to their innovative contribution: that of the Italo-Quebecers and that of the Haitians. Among the Haitian writers who address the theme of integration and exile, Émile Ollivier and Dany Laferriere should be noted. They belong to two generations and two different waves of immigration. In their works, in which the theme of the exile is linked to questions of identity and of a home return, it is crucial to treat the issue of dispossession, the perception of space, time and one’s own self and also the question of a home return anticipated either through the characters (Ollivier) or through an autobiographical narration (Laferriere).
