Studie představuje výsledky sběratelské činnosti Irene Beran (1886–1979), ženy nejprve brněnského židovského textilního podnikatele Philippa Berana a posléze jeho mladšího bratra, malíře Bruna Berana Otakara Teyschla (1891–1968), jedné z nevýznamnějších sběratelek umění německé národnosti v Brně mezi léty 1918 a 1939.

The study deals with the results of the collecting activities of the Irene Beran (1886–1979), wife of Jewish textile entrepreneur Philipp Beran and later of his brother, painter Bruno Beran and last but not least one of the most outstanding women art collectors in German speaking Brno in the period between 1918 and 1939.
