The argument of the paper departs from Flusser’s characteristics of cultural production in the information societies as a “wakeful dreaming” and the aesthetics of software art and it aims to claim that Flusser’s General theory of gesture can be considered as another methodological approach to the study of cultural production within an environment of programmed media.
