Abstract

Proceeding from PhD candidate’s conference on architecture of Historicism, Art Noveau, Early Modernism and Traditionalism, to the period between 1850 and 1920. Contributions are focused on several themes such as national styles and how the nationalism, nationality and political commission affected architecture or to the question of proper style for different functions and the requirements and character of different building types. Contributions also dealt with the relationship between Early Modernism and Historicism, with approaches to city planning in the times of defortification, with phenomenon of villa as a part of industrial complex, with attitude to the monuments of Historicism and Art Noveau in the 20th century, or with the research of the periphery.

Sborník ze stejnojmenné konference o architektuře historismu, secese, rané moderny a tradicionalismu, tedy období mezi lety 1850–1920. Příspěvky se zaměřují na různá témata, např. na národní styly a na to, jak architekturu ovlivnil nacionalismus, národnost a politická objednávka, a také na otázku vhodného stylu pro budovy různých funkcí a na potřeby a charakter rozličných stavebních typů. Příspěvky se také zabývají vzájemným vztahem rané moderny a historismu, urbanismem v době defortifikace, fenoménem vily coby součásti průmyslového areálu, přístupem k památkové ochraně staveb historismu a secese ve 20. století či výzkumem periferie.
