This is the first book of a new series published by the Faculty of Education, Masaryk University on topical issues in physical and health education. This book aims to address the lack of international knowledge and research in interdisciplinary teaching and curriculum development, especially when it comes to the subjects of Physical Education and Geography. The authors analyse and compare elementary school curricular documents from three countries, the Czech Republic, Denmark and the Republic of Slovenia, to reveal how integration is embedded at the policy level. A questionnaire survey of teachers shows how the integrated curriculum is implemented in practice. Publikace „Integrating Physical Education and Geography“ je výstupem činnosti mezinárodní sítě C.A.L.M.A.Z, která se zabývá možnostmi interdisciplinární spolupráce ve výuce zeměpisu a tělesné výchovy, a to zejména v rovnně výzkumné. Aktivními členy sítě a autory publikace jsou zástupci univerzitních pracovišť v České republice, Slovinsku a Dánsku. Cílem publikace je představit, jak participující státy přistupují v jejich kurikulu ke kooperaci ve výuce zeměpisu a tělesné výchovy. Na tuto kooperaci je nahlíženo ze dvou hledisek – prostřednictvím obsahové analýzy a komparace kurikulárních dokumentů je zjištěno, jestli a jak je tato kooperace zakotvena v teoretické rovině. Výsledky dotazníkového šetření s učiteli v zapojených státech pak představují stručnou sondu do realizační formy kurikula. V závěru jsou diskutovány a srovnány možné přístupy k integraci z pohledu kurikula jednotlivých států a jsou doplněny praktickými ukázkami, které jsou ukázkami práce skupiny C.A.L.M.A.Z. e-ISBN 978-80-210-8519-0
