Abstract
This article describes a case study where the GIS is employed in order to map risks connected to a leakage of hazardous chemicals (HC) in the territory of the town Uhersky Brod. For the purpose of the case study a leakage of HC was modelled. Based on this model maps of hazards and vulnerability were created. The conclusion of the article includes the final map of risks, which is supplemented by the evaluation of possible developments of this method. The case study deals with the interconnection of the public administration and emergency management.
