The case study presents detailed monitoring of adverse factors in a patient with a Spinal injury. Case study - 52 years old patient, hospitalised for 16 days at the emergency and resuscitation unit (ERC) for respiratory distress with a transversal spinal lesion at C5/6 and bilateral bronchopneumonia. On admission to ERC, the patient had already undergone a surgical intervention on the spine and was equipped with a fixed neck collar. Evaluation of pressure ulcers risk scales: Extended Scale of Decubitus Risk according to Norton = 19 points, Braden scale = 12 points. Patient was in risk of pressure ulcers formation. Positioning was ensured by turning the multifunction MULTICARE bed on its axis using stabilisation aids, which are part of the bed and allow the torso to be maintained on the axis and still permit lateral tilting.
