Case study - 52 years old patient, hospitalised for 16 days at the emergency and resuscitation unit (ERC) for respiratory distress with a transversal spinal lesion at C5/6 and bilateral bronchopneumonia. On admission to ERC, the patient had already undergone a surgical intervention on the spine and was equipped with a fixed neck collar. Evaluation of pressure ulcers risk scales: Extended Scale of Decubitus Risk according to Norton = 19 points, Braden scale = 12 points. Patient was in risk of pressure ulcers formation.
