Abstract

Víra v duchy je po celé Kambodži neoddělitelnou součástí každodenního života. V tomto příspěvku bych rád pojednal o některých z mnoha duchů, strašidel a přízraků Kambodži a jejich aspektech. Dále bych rád uvedl několik příkladů, a stejně tak důkazů toho, že tato víra není pouze součástí kulturních zvyklostí, folklórem či historkami pro děti, ovšem je živoucí, vyvíjející se tradicí.

Abstract (in English)

A belief in ghosts is an inseparable component of an everyday life all over Cambodia. In my paper, I would like to present some of the many spirits, ghosts and demons of Cambodia as well as describe their principle aspects. Also, I would like to mention a few examples of this belief, as well as give the proof that it is not merely a part of the cultural set of customs, folklore, or tales for children, but rather a living and developing tradition.
