V originále

Příspěvek vznikl na základě výzkumu zaměřeného na inovaci obsahu a forem výuky matematiky na středních a vysokých školách. Příspěvek je věnován přípravě budoucích učitelů matematiky a obsahuje témata vhodná k rozvíjení a rozšiřování jejich znalostí. Příspěvek obsahuje dva řešené problémy ze zahraniční matematické soutěže Putnam exam (problém vyvážených trojic a Josephusův problém). Při jejich řešení využijeme mj. dvojkovou poziční číselnou soustavu.

The article was created as the result of the research oriented at the innovation of the content and forms of teaching mathematics at secondary schools and universities. The article is devoted to teaching of future teachers of Mathematics and contains some topics suitable for deepening and enlarging of their knowledge. The article deals with two problems from the international Mathematics competition Putnam Exam (the problem of harmonious triads and the Josephus problem). While solving these problems the binary number system is used among others.
