Abstract
I want to argue that the idea of scientific progress had an immanent origin – in the development of early modern science itself. Early modern science developed the idea of progress as a new and specific form of epistemology, which featured a response to new epistemological challenges.
Abstract (in Czech)
Chci ukázat, že samotná idea pokroku má imanentní původ v samotném rozvoji raně novověké vědy. Raně novověká věda rozvinula ideu pokroku jako novou a specifickou formu epistemologie, která představovala reakci na nové problémy.
