Abstract

In meinem Beitrag riss ich Lukas Bärfuss´ künstlerische Laufbahn auf, indem ich seine dramatischen Anfänge thematisierte und einen Bogen von seinem wenig erfolgreichen prosaischen Debüt zu seinen Essays schlug. Aus diesem Punkt heraus versuchte ich zu ergründen, auf welche Art und Weise er sich als öffentlicher Intellektueller inszeniert, der (sich) als Nachfolger von Max Frisch und Friedrich Dürrenmatt versteht / verstanden wird, und welche Rolle die persönliche Biographie in seinem öffentlichen Bild (Armut, Schulabbruch, Aufstieg vom Autodidakt zum angesehenen Intellektuellen) spielt.

Abstract (in English)

In my presentation, I was concerned with the artistic career of Lukas Bärfuss. Firstly, I focused on his early drama, a not very successful prose debut, and his essays. Secondly, I tried to show those of his strategies thanks to which he has been considered a public intellectual and a successor of Max Frisch and Friedrich Dürrenmatt. Finally, I dealt with the question what role does his biography (poverty, early school leaving, advancement from a self-educated person to a respected intellectual) play?
