Abstract

Přednáška popisuje poměrně vzácnou atypickou manifestaci jednostranného retinoblastomu v podobě uveitidy s pseudohypopyon u 12- leté dívenky. Po důkladném očním vyšetření v CA a odběru komorové vody na cytologické vyšetření a také na základě CT vyšetření potvrzena diagnóza atypické manifestace retinoblastomu v 5. stádiu Reese –Elsworthovy klasifikace. Prezentace obsahuje unikátní oční nálezy a fotodokumentaci tohoto atypického retinoblastomu. Po zahájení celkové neadjuvantní chemoterapii a enukleaci bulbu došlo ke kompletní remisi onemocnění a pravidelné oční a komplexní onkologické sledování prokazují doposud eradikaci nádorového onemocnění. Tato kazuistika by měla poukázat vzhledem k vysoké malignitě tohoto onemocnění na důležitost diferenciální diagnostiky leukokorie, tedy bělavého svitu v zornici, a správné interpretace nálezu a znalosti nejen klasických ale i atypických forem retinoblastomu.

Abstract (in English)

The lecture describes a rare unilateral retinoblastoma in the form of uveitis with pseudohypopyon in the fifth stage of the Reese-Elsworth classification in a 12-year-old patient. The diagnosis was based on a thorough examination of the patient in full anesthesia, cytological examination of her aqueous humor, and results of a CT scan. This case study presents unique findings and photographs of this rare retinoblastoma. After a full-scale neoadjuvant chemotherapy and enucleation of affected eye the tumor was eradicated and regular eye and complex oncological examinations have confirmed the tumor to be permanently absent. The purpose of this study, in light of the extremely high malignancy of this disease, is to point out the importance of a differential diagnosis of leukocoria and underscore the necessity of correct interpretation of findings and knowledge of not only typical but also uncommon forms of retinoblastomas.
