Abstract
Přednáška byla věnována antické vizuální poezii, která představuje jeden z experimentálních způsobů zacházení s textem typických pro pozdně antickou literaturu. Tato tvorba byla představena ve svém vývoji, od prvních náznaků aktualizace vizuální složky textu v archaické řecké kultuře přes helénistické "obrysové" básně až po mistrovské dílo římského autora Publilia Optatiana Porfyria (3./4. stol. po Kr.), jehož technicky rafinová tvorba, zarhnující jednak figurální básně "obrysové" a intextové (carmina cancellata), jednak důmyslné metrické hříčky, ztělesňuje - řečeno s Rolandem Barthesem - "pisatelný" text par excellence.

Abstract

Přednáška byla věnována antické vizuální poezii, která představuje jeden z experimentálních způsobů zacházení s textem typických pro pozdně antickou literaturu. Tato tvorba byla představena ve svém vývoji, od prvních náznaků aktualizace vizuální složky textu v archaické řecké kultuře přes helénistické "obrysové" básně až po mistrovské dílo římského autora Publilia Optatiana Porfyria (3./4. stol. po Kr.), jehož technicky rafinová tvorba, zarhnující jednak figurální básně "obrysové" a intextové (carmina cancellata), jednak důmyslné metrické hříčky, ztělesňuje - řečeno s Rolandem Barthesem - "pisatelný" text par excellence.

Abstract (in English)
The lecture was devoted to ancient visual poetry as one of the characteristic textual forms of Late Antiquity. A chronological overview of this experimental technique was provided, running from the very first attempts at graphic manipulation with text in Archaic Greece through Hellenistic outline poems up to the masterpiece by the Roman poet Publilius Optatianus Porfyrius (3/4 century AD). Optatianus´s work, comprising both outline and intextual poems, as well as ingenious metrical experiments, represents - in the terminology of Roland Barthes - a "writerly" text par excellence.
