Abstract
Science courses often deal with the practical everyday aspects of physics. On the other hand, one of the great factors in the success of science as an intellectual discipline has been its ability to abstract from the world as we see it and to formulated theory, principle, concepts, etc. The similarity between ideas of today's students and those of early scientists suggests that a study of historical change could be a source for improving the teaching of science concepts. The ideas of Aristotelian, Newton, Einstein, and current kinds of conceptual thinking can be illustrated on balloon experiment. Our paper examines the use of physical laws to help understanding classical mechanics video experiment.
