Abstract

Expozice je věnována nájemným rodinným domům pro zaměstnance firmy Baťa. Ta za dobu působení ve Zlíně postavila více než 3500 bytů v semi-detached houses and quarter-houses. Protože yýstavba domů podléhala standardizaci ne nepodobné pásové výrobě, kterou firma využívala ve svých továrnách, mohla být velmi rychlá: Jen mezi lety 1926 a 1928 bylo postaveno 1734 bytů. Výstava se věnuje dvěma rovinám existence domů. Ve fotografiích a rozkreslených technických detailech představuje rozmanitost typů domů, jejich vnitřního členění, řešení technických detailů. Současně popisuje domy jako součást systému zaměstnaneckého bydlení: Získat nájem v domku nebylo zdaleka samozřejmé a bydlení podléhalo přesným pravidlům. V expozici jsou kopie domovních řádů, kontrolních listů a zpráv o sledovaných a prověřených nájemnících.

Abstract (in English)

The exhibition is dedicated to rental family homes that the Baťa Company built for their employees. During the time that it operated in Zlín, the company built more than 3500 apartments in semi-detached houses and fourplexes. Since the construction of houses was standardized, not unlike the belt production that the company used in its factories, it could be very fast: between 1926 and 1928, 1734 dwellings were built. The exhibition focuses on two aspects of buildings’ existence. Photos and meticulously drawn technical details show the variety of house types, including their spatial layout and technical details. At the same time, the exhibition presents the houses as part of the employee housing system: getting to rent a house was by no means guaranteed, and housing was subject to precise rules. The exhibition features copies of house rules, checklists, and reports on monitored and verified tenants.
