Anotace

Im vorliegenden Buch arbeitet der Autor mit einem Korpus von 33 Romanen, die nach ihrer Schreibweise in vier Typen geordnet werden: 1. Der Uni-Krimi (z. B. Thea Dorns Berliner Aufklärung), 2. Universitätsromane, die sich einer subjektiven Perspektive bedienen (z. B. Uwe Timms Heißer Sommer), 3. Unterhaltsame und satirische Universitätsromane (z. B. Der Campus), 4. Experimentelle Universitätsromane (z. B. Der gestohlene Abend). Die seltene bisherige Forschung reduzierte den deutschsprachigen Universitätsroman auf einige wenige Werke und maß dem Genre auch durch seine auf das dargestellte Verhältnis zwischen der Universität und der Gesellschaft reduzierte Betrachtungsweise eine geringe literarische Qualität bei. Im Gegensatz dazu wird in der vorliegenden Monografie die gegenseitige Potenzierung der jeweiligen Schreibweise und des Themas Universität als Qualitätsmaßstab vorgeschlagen. Die Arbeit zeigt, dass die bisher nicht (genug) beachteten Romane (die experimentellen, die aus der subjektiven Perspektive erzählten Universitätsromane, sowie einige Romane, die an der Grenze zu diesen Typen liegen) eine höhere Qualität aufweisen. Dieses diff erenziertere Bild soll zur Aufwertung des Genres beitragen.

Anotace česky

Práce se zabývá proměnou německy psaného univerzitního románu po roce 1968. Autor rozděluje korpus 33 románů podle způsobu, jakým jsou napsány, na čtyři typy: 1. univerzitní kriminální román, 2. univerzitní romány, které jsou vyprávěny ze subjektivní perspektivy, 3. zábavné a satirické univerzitní romány a 4. experimentální univerzitní romány. Dosavadní ne příliš rozsáhlý výzkum redukoval německý univerzitní román na několik málo děl a připisoval mu i z důvodu svého omezeného zaměření na zobrazení vztahu mezi univerzitou a společností nízkou literární úroveň. Oproti tomu spatřuje autor hlavní měřítko literární kvality univerzitního románu ve vzájemném stupňování se vybraného způsobu psaní a univerzitního tématu. Práce ukazuje, že doposud opomíjené, popř. nedostatečně interpretované romány (experimentální, subjektivní univerzitní romány, ale i některé, které se těmto typům blíží) vykazují vyšší kvalitu. Diferencovanější pohled na univerzitní román, který práce přináší, má přispět k tomu, aby byl vnímán jako hodnotný žánr.

Anotace anglicky

The thesis deals with the transformation of the German-language university novel after 1968. The author divides the corpus of 33 novels into four types, according to the way they are written: 1. university criminal novel, 2. university novels that are narrated from the subjective perspective, 3. entertaining and satirical university novels and 4. experimental university novels. The present research has been too narrow and has reduced the German university novel to a couple of writings. Also, due to its limited focus on depicting the association between university and society, the existing research has credited the genre with a low literary level. By contrast, the author of the thesis sees the main measure of the literary quality of the university novel in the mutual escalation of both the selected way of writing and the university topic. The thesis shows that the novels which have so far been ignored or interpreted in an insufficient way (not only experimental and subjective university novels but also some that bear resemblance to these types) evince a higher quality. A more differentiated look at the university novel brought by the thesis should contribute to the fact that the genre is perceived as one of great value.
