Abstract

Molekulární medicína je rychle se rozvíjející moderní obor, který zastřešuje veškeré aplikace molekulární biologie do klinické medicíny. Z toho důvodu se jedná o obor ve své podstatě velmi široký a univerzální, a tedy jen stěží uchopitelný pro jednoho odborníka. Nicméně podíváme‑li se na všechny oblasti molekulární medicíny z širší perspektivy, zjistíme, že zde existují určité stále se opakující vzorce. Jedná se v podstatě o určitý způsob myšlení a koncepce oboru je tak dobře uchopitelná i popsatelná. Toto skriptum seznámí čtenáře se základními poznatky, metodickými principy a molekulárně-biologickými metodami, které jim umožní pochopit jak smysl a účel tohoto oboru, tak jeho multidisciplinární povahu. Mělo by se proto stát užitečným nástrojem nejen pro posluchače molekulárně-medicínských kurzů, ale také poskytnout praktické informace ostatním zájemcům o tuto problematiku z řad široké odborné veřejnosti.

Abstract (in English)

Molecular medicine is a modern and rapidly expanding discipline, which covers all applications of molecular biology in the clinical medicine. For this reason, it is a field in its essence, a very broad and universal, and therefore difficult to handle for one expert. However, if we look at all areas of molecular medicine from a broader perspective we can see that there are certain recurring patterns. It is basically about a way of thinking and, thus, concept of this discipline could be handled and described. This textbook introduces the readers to the basic knowledge, methodological principles and methods of molecular biology that allow them to understand both the meaning and purpose of this field as well as its multidisciplinary nature. Therefore, it should present a useful tool not only for students of molecular medicine courses, but also provide useful information to other specialists interested in this issue among the wide expert public.
