Abstract

Se zvyšujícím se věkem vzrůstá prevalence patologických, převážně ischemických změn/ledvinového parenchymu. Postižení glomerulu, se, u nemocných vyššího věku, rozvíjí nejčastěji sekundárně na podkladě diabetes mellitus či hypertenze, nejsou však výjimkou ani primární glomeru-lopatie autoimunitního původu. Věk samotný není kontraindikujícím faktorem procesů náhrady ledvinových funkcí - hemodialýzy nebo transplantace.

Abstract (in English)

Prevalence of pathological, usually ischemic changes to the renal parenchyma rises with increasing age. Glomerular damage develops in elderly patients most often secondarily, as a result of diabetes mellitus or hypertension, primary glomerulopathies of autoimmune origin are not exceptional either. Age alone is not a contraindication for kidney function replacement procedures - haemodialysis or transplantation.
