This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 19th International Conference on Text, Speech and Dialogue, TSD 2016, held in Brno, Czech Republic, in September 2016. The 62 papers presented together with 3 abstracts of invited talks were carefully reviewed and selected from 127 submissions. They focus on topics such as corpora and language resources; speech recognition; tagging, classification and parsing of text and speech; speech and spoken language generation; semantic processing of text and speech; integrating applications of text and speech processing; automatic dialogue systems; as well as multimodal techniques and modelling.

Kniha obsahuje recenzované příspěvky 19. ročníku mezinárodní konference TSD 2016. Kromě příspěvků tří zvaných přednášek bylo recenzním řízení vybráno 62 článků z 127 zaslaných příspěvků. Články se zaměřují na témata jako textové korpusy, jazykové zdroje, rozpoznávání řeči, značkování textů, generování textů a řeči, integrace aplikací pro práci s texty a řečí, automatické dialogové systémy. Články řeší aktuální problematiku výzkumu a vývoje v oblastech sémantického zpracování přirozeného jazyka s důrazem na zpracování textů a mluvené řeči od teoretických a metodologických statí až po aplikace v oblastech jako strojové učení či dialogové systémy.
